No newsletter this week

Hi folks,

There’s no newsletter this week as I’m traveling tomorrow.

After being cooped up in my apartment for six months, I’m going to Abidjan for some much-needed R&R.

Travel during a pandemic is surreal. The testing, submitting all your information on these Orwellian portals for QR codes [which don’t work], 4-hour waits at the airport - it feels like a brave new world.

Speaking of testing, I took my first Covid test yesterday. And I’m only half joking when I say it felt like this:
